Quinceanera/Sweet Sixteen

The Quinceañera/Sweet 16 is the celebration of a girl’s fifteenth birthday, marking her passage from childhood to womanhood. The Quinceañera Mass is an act of Thanksgiving for Life and Faith, crowned by God’s blessing. It is an opportunity for a young girl to consolidate her commitment to her faith.
St. Symphorosa offers Quinceañera/Sweet 16 Masses or Ceremonies to registered parish families. They are scheduled on Saturdays at 1:00pm or 3:00 pm. The young lady looking to celebrate her fifteenth/sixteenth birthday in the church community with either a mass or ceremony must be a fully initiated Catholic. This means she has been baptized and received her First Holy Communion and Confirmation
A rehearsal is scheduled for all persons participating in the celebration the week of the Quinceañera or Sweet 16.
